Angelolatry

Angelolatry, also called angelatry, is a loosely defined term for any spiritual tradition or practice that honors, invokes, or worships angels but cannot be categorized as a traditional form of Yahwism. These belief and practice systems are usually highly individuated, exhibiting major differences from other angelolatrous traditions and from Yahwism proper. Modern angelolatry can be influenced by New Age spirituality, Gnosticism, Hermeticism, Kabbalah, or other forms of Western occultism, such as John Dee's system of "Enochian" magic.
