Five great instigators

From Grigoripedia

The five great instigators among the Watchers, also known as the five satans, are five Watchers who played extremely prominent roles in the Watchers' initial decision to rebel against Yahweh, descend to earth, have sex with humans, and teach forbidden knowledge.[1] In their traditional order, the five great instigators are Samyaza (Yaqum or Yeqon), Asbe'el (Asbeel), Gadre'el (Gadreel), Penemue, and Tamiel (Kasyade or Kasdeya).

Role in the Grigoric Narrative

Each of the five great instigators played a particular part in persuading the other Watchers to agree to a rebellion. The first great instigator is Samyaza, who led all of the Watchers and brought them down to earth.[2] Asbe'el, the second great instigator, counseled the rest of the Watchers about sexual pleasures and encouraged them to engage in sexual unions with human women, which was part of their decision to rebel.[3] Gadre'el, the third great instigator, knew the arts of combat and instructed the other Watchers in this discipline to prepare them for the Brazen War that would come as Yahweh's retaliation for their rebellion; he taught these same arts to humanity.[4] Penemue, the fourth great instigator, told the other Watchers that he would teach humanity to read and write so that their deeds and teachings would never be forgotten, and indeed he taught reading and writing to mankind.[5] Tamiel, the fifth great instigator, told the other Watchers that he would teach smiting and offensive magic so that humans could defend themselves against angels, as well as spirit work so that humans could easily call upon them long after they were no longer incarnate; when he was on earth, he taught these things to humanity along with abortion methods.[6]
