Grigoripedia:Maintenance
Maintenance is the work of improving, organizing, correcting, and expanding Grigoripedia.
Maintenance pages, project pages, and templates are not part of Grigoripedia's main article content. They exist to teach editors about the tools available to them and alert editors to pages that need attention.
Maintenance categories
Maintenance categories collect pages that need a specific kind of work.
Common maintenance categories include:
- Category:Needs work — category containing all other maintenance categories.
- Category:Stub articles — very short, incomplete articles that need substantial expansion.
- Category:Needs expansion — articles that are larger than stubs but still need some expansion.
- Category:Needs cleanup — articles that need editing for quality, phrasing, neater organization, or other general cleanup.
- Category:Needs sources — articles lacking necessary references or source citations.
Less common, but still useful categories include:
- Category:Needs page elements — category containing all other maintenance categories pertaining to page elements, such as images, infoboxes, and tables of contents.
- Category:Needs images — articles that need images.
- Category:Needs infobox — articles that need an infobox element.
- Category:Needs other work — articles that need some sort of work or maintenance that does not fit any of the more specific categories; avoid using this unless it is the only option.
Project pages
Project pages are pages in the Grigoripedia: namespace that describe the wiki itself, its tools, its editing practices, and its internal organization.

Common maintenance tasks
Common Grigoripedia maintenance tasks include expanding stub articles, improving opening paragraphs of articles, fixing formatting or layout problems, adding internal links as needed, checking terminology for consistency, and placing articles in the best applicable categories.
Article improvement priorities
When improving an article, editors should generally prioritize accuracy, clear definitions, neutral encyclopedic wording, consistent terminology, useful linking, and appropriate categorization. If a deserving topic does not have a page yet, an editor can create a stub with a brief definition paragraph and mark it for later expansion.
