Raguel
Raguel, also known as Raguil, Ragouel, Reuel, or Raguelus, is an archangel in the service of Yahweh. He belongs to the order of erelim (exousiai), the warrior angels who make up Yahweh's army. His name most likely means "friend of God."
Raguel appears in the Yahwist Book of Enoch and the Satano-Grigorist Book of the Watchers and the Acts of Enoch as one of the seven "archangels who watch." The Book of Enoch describes Raguel as the angel who "takes vengeance on the world of the luminaries," which may be related to the recurring theme of the fallen Watchers being compared to stars ("luminaries") which have deserted their assigned courses. The Book of the Watchers and the Acts of Enoch states more explicitly that Raguel's assigned duty is to take vengeance upon those who stand against Yahweh.
Both the Book of Enoch and the Book of the Watchers and the Acts of Enoch describe Raguel accompanying [Enoch]] throughout his visions and answering some of his questions, specifically regarding a mysterious eternal fire Enoch sees in the west. Raguel explains that this fire in the west is the force that chases the heavenly luminaries (the stars) and drives them from the sky at dawn. This is most likely a reference to the sun, which appears to displace the stars at the dawn of each day.
