Samael

Not to be confused with Satanael.

Samael, also known as Azrael, is a prominent memit archangel who serves as the head of the order of memitim and the chief angelic tormentor. His name means "Venom of God," and he is often styled as the "Angel of Death." Samael is completely distinct from Satanael and is not a fallen angel or a Watcher, despite such claims being common in popular occultism. He is a loyal angel who serves Yahweh.
